CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Welcome to The Knights of Columbus Notre Dame Council, No. 2901 in Baltimore.  The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic service organization in the world; but, we are not complacent.  In fact, we are tireless in our search for the next generation of Knights.  Men of character and conviction who are driven by their faith and conscience to selflessly serve their families, Church, and communities.  As Knights, you make an impact through enduring faith and unfaltering fellowship.  Knowing that one man can make a difference because one Man already has.

There are 139 councils in the State of Maryland with a total membership of more than 26,000 Catholic men. Notre Dame Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 8:00 PM. To be a member, you must be a practicing Catholic man at least 18 years of age. We invite you and we encourage you to join the Knights of Columbus and Notre Dame Council, No. 2901.

A Brief History

Notre Dame Council was instituted on October 16, 1944 and has a membership today of approximately 450 men.

Within the Order itself, there are four "Degrees" of Knighthood, each one meant to exemplify one of the four principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. To become a full Knight, each member is encouraged to attain the Third Degree level.

The Knights of Columbus is an organization fortified by its past, and driven by its goals for the future. It's through these five areas of service—faith, community, family, youth, and fellowship—that we truly make a difference.

After which, he can go on to the Fourth Degree, the one that embodies patriotism and is the most visible of all the Degrees. It is through their participation in these areas that Knights receive their greatest, and often most personal, rewards.
